Program Objectives
The WB Summer Investment Program (WBSIP) has several key objectives aimed at enhancing the
growth and success of startups from the Western Balkans:
- Enhance Investment Readiness: Equip startups with the essential knowledge and tools to
effectively communicate their value proposition to investors and initiate their fundraising
efforts for Seed and early Series A rounds. - Expand Regional Collaboration: Foster connections between startups and the broader
region through partnerships with 12 early-stage programs in the Western Balkans. - Enable Direct Mentorship: Provide personalized guidance from industry experts to refine
business models, financial projections, and investment pitch decks. - Development of Key Documents: Assist startups in preparing essential documents for
fundraising, including investor pitch decks. - Connect to Market Opportunities: Facilitate access to preselected corporate clients and
partners willing to validate and procure solutions from startups in the program. - Facilitate Investor Engagement: Introduce startups to a network of investors actively
investing in CEE through structured voting and feedback mechanisms. - Support from EBRD and SwissEP: Assist companies in applying for support from EBRD
Star Venture Programs and SwissEP Experts, maximizing the expert pool and consultants
from each program. - Increase Visibility: Enhance the visibility of startups through media exposure, podcasts,
tech portals, and participation in conferences and pitching events such as Podim, Digitalk,
How2Web, and Splet.
